Doing a cosplay is I think the most difficult one in Art (for me). I mean you need a lot of money in terms of make up, wigs, custome and props. You can’t act someone that is non-existing, ofcourse you must imitate someone popular or  the most common of it is an   anime character.

Cosplaying is popular in deviantart. And there is a Filipina girl who is so very popular on the said style. Without no much FYI.here ,I know most of you know her… She is Alodia Gosiengfiao.She is half Filipino, Chinese and Spanish descent.

She is currently on her 3rd year taking up Information Design at the Ateneo De Manila University, and is fond of art, fashion and video games. 

Maxim magazine Philippines offered her to appear in the magazine for two months but, she turned them down. This is not the first time she snubbed the mainstream media. Previously, she rebuffed a TV offer from Maxim Philippines’ parent company ABS-CBN, an offer later taken by her friend and fellow cosplayer Dianne Lopez. 

Alodia’s popularity in the cosplay scene began at a Culture Crash Convention in December 2003, appearing as Gunmage Rikku from the game Final Fantasy X-2, accompanied by her sister Ashley Gosiengfiao who went as Gunmage Yuna from the same game, along with their friends Faus Ontengco and Dianne Lopez as Shuin and LeBlanc. The two sisters won third place and the People’s Choice Award, and were featured in an issue of the Culture Crash magazine (they appeared on the said issue’s cover as well). Since then she has been well-known for her beauty and well-done costumes, and has won several other cosplay awards to boot.

 Yesterday at fwendz Milcah one of our friend at Addu member of the siliconGulf celebrated her 19th bday.But First I attendes Karlo Sobiaco’s Birthday at their house super licous foods we are in the table, especially the desert, mmm… Can’t resist, we even commit sin for Gluttony..lol

The at 11:00 pm I went to fwendz where a lot from addu(milcah, ricky, aaron, rookie, ariane,Rey,jacque,  elena and other I forgot their names) and Uicians(me, marlo, jim, harvey, andot, ace, jay and brylle) are present  and playing that Bullshit game.

We spent a lot of time enjoying, laughing and other stuff. and the most favorite part we’ve done is the picture taking like models.. hehehe… Jay the professional photographer used Sir Chris SLR digital camera and took a picture unlimitedly. hehehe.. . A moment to remember.. hehehe

In the news today, there would be new games that merge with a social networking strategy it is a 3d characters that could make social networking. In these new way of making a connection to the other people we could come up with the idea of Virtual relationship. Real or virtual of there is a commitment so ir is a relationship, seen or can’t be seen, if both mutually understand each other so they are in relationship. Virtual Relationship also into communication like connection in chat lines that has free chat and be able to phone chat with each other. So that is technology and it is free. You can also leave a voice and callers can be anonymous when they are on the system.

Virtual Relationship will truly be acceptable in the society because of the new Technology.

4:30 pm -6:00 pm this day we had our general assembly for the discussion of events on this semester particularly the  Financial report, calendar of activities updates, PSITS ITE week activities, discuss about PAASCU next year,Silicongulf activities and many other essential matters. We consider it as the most successful ITE General Assembly this year. Not to mention our unprofessionally in time management but the outcome of the assembly. Ordinarily, students attend general assembly for the sake of the attendance, but this time, though there are so many errors and bugs happened a while ago like unprepared programs, speeches and presentation, but still the flow of the programs were followed, considering our  heroes of the day Ms. Catherine Remolleno, save us, who substitute the assigned Emcees since, the ASSIGNED EMCEES not there and late to come, Mr. Marlo Noval for letting us borrow his laptop with matching "mapansin jud ang wallpaper galore!". Successful? Because everybody participated in the open forum, they burst out their problem regarding financial matters and our functions. I am happy about it, though there are circumstances that feel me bad, but really, we appreciated it and at last! I feel that we are in the world of POLITICS, in the point that we now know student matters against us. We admit that if we would not utter things that what was going on to the program, if we still zip our mouth, we are not effective or we are being unfair to them. I’m really happy about the upshot, and we are expecting more challenges and blessings for the next general assembly. We the officers would like to extend our appreciation to Mr. Exander Barrios and Mr. Jerry Flores who facilitate us to be existent Officers since the First semester. For all of these experiences we have, having this position and responsibility we are more aware and the ability to grasp the real human race we are facing. We’re so lucky for these experiences. More challenges waited for us… So … MUST BREATH MORE!lol

 Another successful IT Event here in Davao.

The ITE Graphics Conference is a half day multimedia event exclusively for the UIC ITE only, in which the UIC  ITE Program invites the three gigantic and prominent graphics designer, web designer and animator here in  Davao City, to hear them speak, demonstrate and exhibit their works.. This event will be on September 29, 2007, 1:00-5:00 pm at the UIC Main  AVR 1, 4^th Floor, Fr. Selga St. Davao City. The Speakers of this event are Mr. Christopher Cubos of IDS Media and the founder of www. Fwendz.com will talk and expound about integration of Macromedia Flash and Adobe After Effects and it’s basic.  Mr. Dennnes Abing founder of www.amigoas.com and one of the owners of the Amigoas Internet café will have a discussion about Web Standards, specifically CSS language and little about PHP scripting language. And of course our dear schoolmate, Mr. Paolo Ramirez the one who made the ITE Logo and the world class Graphics designer will converse and tutor us about Adobe Photoshop. Plus a surprise presentation. So, what can say? It’s almost complete, not to mention the awaited freebies and more.

Hey don’t forget people it’s an open source. quiet frankly, almost everyday  minor revision to the kernel occurs  and its last major revision was in 2003. we’ll it’s because there aren’t millions of dollars in the piggy bank for a catchy media blitz. Linux is under constant development and has gotten so efficient at it that major releases have been repeatedly postponed because of lack of need.

It’s now on it’s hot seat, every now and then,as I browse to some tech news in the net, I always read about Open source and how significant it will be to us and how good is the impact if all the users in the world will be using the open source applications and operating system. So I’m into it, since it is free. But the problem may the developers encounter to the users is , you know ordinary people are are already use to this MS applications and to other sofwares which has a valuable cost.So much for that, I am also very interested with this the Nvu which stands for New View, it is an HTML editor brought to you by the open source comminity so it’s FREE wow! I’m definitely so  late to hear this for it was already released in 2005, sorry I’m poor in Tech latest news and updates but my real concern about this one is, it is a substitute for the expensive Dreamweaver , Front Page and Expression Web.But unlike those powerful web editors,that can cater all scripting languages that is needed in the Dynamic sites. Unlike this NVU. I hope NVU can be developed like of those features someday, I have not yet  explore the software much but I’m happy to hear it! Does anyone or anybody already using it?drop some comment and I’ll be happy to see it!and Thanks in advance.
